“My work in education has enabled me to study all disciplines and understand the fundamental problems in education.
I will provide Direction against teaching to standardized tests with solutions Placing emphasis on understanding concepts, ideas & the fundamentals of a discipline which will improve performance in all areas.
I will work to bring the right materials, programs, teaching & testing methods to Alachua County schools that will improve students’ reasoning & critical thinking and intellectually empower them for whatever lies ahead.”

Have All Students Receive a High Quality Education
Stop teaching to tests, eliminate interpretive multiple choice materials, create an effective model for all schools in the county to follow
recycling program for all schools
Repeal School Uniforms
It is an unjust financial burden. The research shows that school uniforms don’t improve performance or behavior. I stand with all 7 high school principals that urged the board to let them enforce the code already in place, as they have adequately done in the past.
School Nutrition Initiative
Better school foods. Implement a ‘farm to schools’ program. Make nutrition facts of school foods available online and on school grounds
Cut wasteful spending
The current school methods do not allow teachers to teach & prevent students from properly developing their cognitive abilities. I want to replace ineffective programs, worksheets, & lesson plans with effective methods that will save time, money, & increase students’ performance.
